Bianca did great having hers on pasture. She built a nest right in one of the open stalls where we had places a large amount of straw and then for the following week stayed very close and never wandered far. Sandy on the other hand didn't do so great.
First, instead of building a nest in the barn she went and build one on TOP of the hill in the far corner of the pasture... Then had the piglets in the pouring rain...
So we now have a total of 11 piglets. They are not up for sale yet as we are waiting a couple weeks until we are sure they are all healthy. Bar anything happening they will be ready to go the last week in July.
Speaking of pigs our last batch of piglets are nearly ready to go to the butcher! They are looking really nice and are filling out. They are going to the butcher on July 7th and we still have 2 whole pigs available. If you are interested in purchasing a whole or half pig head on over the Pork page and scroll to the bottom for the option to put down a deposit -- or call us as 716-988-3426 to set up payment.
