This year we have dove head long into bee keeping. We have three hives and have recently added another, although this one wasn't purhased. Our newest hive was removed from our neighbor's soffit. It's not the best time of year to be removing hives, but our neighbor is allergic and this was a test run. We also knew the bees were only there for a couple months, so we figured it would be a relatively small hive.... But why bother at all? Wouldn't it just be easier to buy a can of bee spray and fill up the hole with pesticide?
This year we are raising over 300 Freedom Ranger chickens free-range here on the farm, and they are almost ready to process! The chickens are getting big and we will start processing the end of July. They will be $4/lb and be sold only as whole birds. If anyone would like a fresh bird, before they are frozen, send us a message and we will let you know the date and time to stop on buy the farm to pick one up.
